Nature vs. Nurture

Nature vs. Nurture is the study of the human body, there physics and personality. Nature is the genetics where you come from and nurture is the environment you live in. The first person who used this term was Francis Galton. He wrote the book English men of Species in which he names his discovery and the debates within it. He was born in Birmingham in 1822. Nature vs. Nurture talks about the genetics in people. Also it talks about twins and their behaior. Some questions are Why people are born with blue eyes? Why are people more intelligent than others? This question are what people debate about. Are they nature or nurture?  The debate between nature vs. nurture has been for many years. It is about genetics and environment. Scientists believe that nature is one thing and nurture is another. For example your intelligence is it nature or nurture? But intelligence can be both because if you are born in a very intelligent family it is possible you are born to be intelligent but also the environment you are born in can influence as well. Even today many people are in debate in this topic. In my opinion people are the way they are because of this to topics and both of them are very important in society and in the human beings.

Charles Darwin and The Natural Selecion

Charles Darwin was born in England on February 12 1809. He was a brilliant philosopher that made many discoveries. He went on a 5 year trip on the HMS Beagle to travel around the world and finally landed on the Galapagos Island. There he was studying and found different kinds of birds and other creatures. He took samples back to England and there he made his studies. He found 13 different types of bird he had never sin before. Also he found fossils. The birds were called the Finches and they are only seen in the Galapagos Island. He then came up with his theory about the natural selection, which explains adaptation and reproduction that the specie who could adapt and reproduce was the one who survived.. He spends many hours in his lab studying. When he was stressed he would throw water on himself. He lacked of sleep and rest. His daughter became very sick so he took her to some doctors. She was the one who was close to him and understood him. He suffered a lot when his daughter died. He took 22 years to publish his book because of the Church. At that time the church was the one who “ruled”. If you said something different you could get killed. Also his wife was very religious. After he finished his theory he changed all his religious believes. He was scared to lose his wife and to be killed. But finally he found out that there was another scientist that found the same philosophy but had not put too much effort on it. So Darwin published his book which he called The Origin of Species because he did not want all his hard work to go to waste. Now he is a very important man in history and thanks to him we know so much. Charles Darwin died on April 19, 1882 but his theory still lives.

What is Psychology?

Psychology is the study of the human mind. Psychology studies people’s feelings and behavior. It studies one of the most important organs in your body which is the brain. The brain is very powerful it makes you thinks and stores all the knowledge you have. Psychologists are the people that study psychology. They are the ones who help you confront your problems. Biology is a branch for psychology because in biology you study the human body and to understand psychology you need to know how the human body works. Wilhelm Wundt was the founder of psychology. Thanks to him we can learn how to help people with problems.
